I’ve already have said my words on this subject. But I think people need to be more educated on the subject of eating disorders, because in reality, everybody really does know somebody. They aren’t choices, fun, or glamourous. Having one is hell, but climbing up that hill is one of the best feelings.
They aren’t about the weight, even though it consumes you. It’s about the torture you deal with daily. The physical affects don’t even compare to the mental ones. I don’t think I’m weak because of this, I think I’m fucking amazing. JUST KIDDING. But people aren’t even close to weak if you deal with this problem. You would never believe the stories of the STRONGEST girls I’ve meet who have dealt with this.
Advice if you know somebody, be considerate and there for support. This is going to be quite blunt, but don’t be stupid. Don’t make stupid comments, too many people too, and just really don’t. People who go through this, you’re the strongest people I know, and giving up is not an option.
So I wrote this on my Facebook. lol What do you think?
Here is a bit of INSPIRATION for everyone :)
This is my amazing aunty. When she was in her late teens/early twenties she suffered from an ED and other serious mental illnesses. She made a FULL recovery and is now happily married and 23 weeks pregnant with her first child!!! This is proof that it is possible to recover!! She is so lucky she recovered in time to have children, the doctors told her that her body may have been too damaged from her ED to ever have children but she is!!! :D :D Im so proud of her and she is my inspiration :)
Come on lovelys we can do this too, it IS possible!!
There is nothing fun or glamorous about an eating disorder. It is nothing to be desired. Once your wrapped in its hands it so hard to run free. But it is possible if you fight!!
Overweight - Eating Disorder Video with Kati Morton Healthy Mind, Healthy Body!
I hear from many of my followers that they are worried about seeking treatment for their eating disorder because they are of a regular weight or overweight. I know that the media only talks about those who are underweight and many treatment facilities focus on treating those who are underweight, but only one type of ED has a weight requirement! Only one!! There are so many others who are suffering from bulimia, binge eating disorder, and EDNOS. None of those diagnosis have weight restrictions. So if 10 million people suffer form EDs it could be said that almost 7 million of those are not underweight!!! The majority!! So if you are concerned about seeking help because you think that you can only have an ED if you are underweight, watch this again, because that is simply not true!
Eating disorders are more about what it is that we think each day, rather than what we look like on the outside. So if you are struggling and are not getting help because of your weight, please consider that more than half of those with an ED are not underweight!!! So let’s reach out and seek help, as we take our own path to a Health Body, and a Healthy Mind! xox

I’d love to meet Kati :) I am extremely shy though and often talk myself out of things but I know I’d be upset with myself if I had the opportunity to meet her and didn’t. She’s #1 on my would love to meet list :)
Kati is 100% real. She is the kindest person I know. She truly cares. I know she’s real :)
